When I was 5 years old, I began to ask my teacher, Mrs. Sandy Gammons and my parents questions about salvation. On March 30th, 2004 at Liberty Baptist Church, 13 year old Daniel Shepherd preached his very first message. It was a very simple message on salvation and when the invitation was given, I told my Mama I wanted to get saved. My parents and I went down to the altar, and my former pastor Marvin Blackburn prayed with me. I asked Jesus to come into my heart and save me. I am not near what I should be for HIM, but He blesses me anyways. I thank HIM for everything he has given me, but most of all for saving me!

I want to start out by thanking God for saving me and for all He's done for me. I have a great family, school, church, and friends. I've been very blessed. I thought I got saved when I was younger but it was a false profession. In June 2011, when I was nine years old God showed me I wasn't saved. Then one night at Liberty Baptist Church, Brother Jerry Whiteheart led me to the Lord. I remember saying Romans 10:13 over and over! "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Finally I got it, and I got saved! God's been so good to me and I thank HIM for it.
